Millions of people today are caught up in the vicious cycle of the world's system. You were delivered from this cycle when you came to Christ Jesus, and received Him as your Lord and Saviour. However, many Christians still don't enjoy the divine health, abundant life, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit that God has given His children.  

In Deuteronomy 30:19, God told the children of Israel, “…I have set before you life and death, blessing or curse. Oh, that you would choose life; that you and your children might live!” (TLB). This is so touching! The Israelites had thought God was responsible for the death of their children and other terrible things that had been happening to them. They must have been shocked to learn they chose the calamities that befell them. It's clear from God's statement to them what His desire was. Did you know it's the same in the New Testament? “Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours; And ye are Christ's; and Christ is God’s” (1 Corinthians 3:22-23).  

Ephesians 5:18-19 says, “And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.” How important words are in the Kingdom of God! This scripture is God's way of telling you to always speak His Word; because as you do, you're constantly being filled with the Spirit. The more you're filled with the Spirit, the more impossible it becomes for you to be frustrated, despaired or despondent in life.  

The power to choose is in your mouth! “The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart” (Romans 10:8). Did you know that you can quench the power of God's Spirit in your life by speaking negatively? When you say things like, 'Life is so hard; things are so bad; I don't know what's happening to me; I'm so frustrated…’ you're actually quenching the fire of God's Spirit in your life.  

Your talk determines your walk in this life. So, stop talking lack and want, sickness and death. Rather than talk yourself down, speak forth what you want to see in your life. Don't talk frustration because you're the King's kid; speak to yourself in psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Only declare the Word of faith with your mouth.  

Life is meant to be sweet and wonderful. Life is yours. Health is yours. Prosperity is yours. Everything is yours to choose. Choose to bring glory to God in your life today.
